Job Summary

An Accountant in the construction sector oversees a company’s financial operations. They are in charge of financial activities such as accounts payable and receivable, payroll, and billing. They compile and evaluate financial reports to track the company’s financial performance and ensure that financial records are correct and in accordance with industry requirements. They also manage project budgets, keep track of project expenses, and provide cost analyses to help project decision-makers. They may collaborate with project managers to create and monitor project budgets, as well as ensuring that all project costs are appropriately accounted for. In addition, they collaborate closely with suppliers, vendors, and subcontractors to manage their accounts and guarantee timely payments.

Key Responsibilities

• Accountant with at least 3-4 years of experience is required.
• Accounting process from start to finish, from data entering in the accounting system through finalization.
• Manually verifying accounts.
• Accounting principles are used to manage all accounting processes.
• It is necessary to have knowledge of the Booking Log, Monthly Close, General Accounting and Finance, and fundamental accounting.
• Dealing with employee out-of-pocket expenditures, as well as business travel reimbursement.
• Monitoring and analysis of corporate credit card transactions.
• Closing dates are monthly and quarterly.
  Journal entry into accounting system.
• Execute the month-end and year-end closing processes.
  Compile, analyze, and summarize account data.
• Calculate taxes and generate tax returns, balance sheets, profit/loss statements, and other financial statements.
• Create management reports on a regular basis.
• Financial transactions should be audited, and accounting control methods should be documented.
• Calculating taxes and preparing tax returns, balance sheets, profit/loss statements, and so forth.
• Compiles and analyzes account information to create asset, liability, and capital account entries.
• Enters account information to record financial activities.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Holder of a B.COM degree.
• Demonstrated professional experience as an accountant in the construction industry.
• Accounting and corporate finance concepts and practices must be thoroughly understood.
• Outstanding accounting software user.
• Great attention to detail and discretion.
• Completes database backups to secure financial information.
• Follows internal controls to maintain financial security.
• You must be available to start immediately.
